I love summer’s in New York City! There is always something fun and exciting happening from borough to borough. Rooftop bars with spectacular views, great restaurants with tasty dishes and let’s not forget the free concerts to keep us all entertained. While I enjoy all of the excitement that NYC offers during the summer, I find myself needing alone time. I can be a bit of loner at times or perhaps this is how I maintain my mental space. Either way, whenever the urge surfaces, I get dress and get out because staying in-doors keeps me in my head over analyzing things, attempting to control the inevitable, and honestly I turn into a not-so-nice person. Being outdoors instantly puts me in a better mood, and so lately I’ve been doing more it. Whether it’s taking a walk on my own, eating by myself or with someone I haven’t seen in a while it gives me the feeling of freedom and put things in perspective for me somehow.
A few weeks ago I got the urge to hang by myself for a bit and heading down to the EAST VILLAGE. NYC, as you can imagine is known for some of the best brunch spots that are Instagram worthy, but I wasn’t in the mood for the crowd, and my photographer mentioned Pardon My French, it is a contemporary version of the bistro-style restaurant with offerings of Mediterranean influenced tapas and modern approach to classic French fare. All I heard him say was BottomLess Brunch for $29.95 and must have shouted at the top of my lungs: YES! I had the Brioche French Toast with Fresh Fruit, Maple Syrup, and Whipped Cream with several glasses of mimosas; I will be going back. Click here to check out their menu and add it to your list of brunch spots to visit in NYC. You won’t be disappointed.
